M8 Music is an Internet based publishing house offering a wide variety of quality original compositions and arrangements for brass bands. M8 Music will initially only publish the music of Paul Drury and Stephen Bradnum. Paul Drury is a leading composer and arranger in the brass band movement and is known worldwide for his exciting and innovative music. Stephen Bradnum is an emergent talent who has already made an impact and received critical acclaim in brass band circles. The world renowned cornet player, Phillip McCann is Creative Director of M8 and is responsible for providing the inspiration and ideas behind many of the pieces available through this site.

September 2008 The world famous Foden's Richardson Band featured an M8 arrangement in their recent concert appearance in Scotland. Eb soloist Les Neish played Paul Drury's arrangement of Sarasate's "Zigeunerwisen". This piece will be available shortly but in the meantime, "Moto Perpetuo" which was also written for Les is on sale.
July 2008 Paul Drury from M8 Music was commissioned by Frazer Kirk to write a baritone solo to celebrate his 18th birthday. The piece, "Prelude and Capriccio for Baritone and Band" was premiered by the West Lothian Schools Band and will be available to buy from this site at the end of the year.
April 2008 M8 Music are delighted to announce some new composers and arrangers who are going to be joining the team. Chic Masson, Band Master at Glenrothes Salvation Army and euphonium player with Tullis Russell has written a march which is available to buy now. Bernard Lawson a retired Salvation Army Band Master is also on board as is David Jones. Watch out for more new music coming from these composers soon.
December 2007 - Dean Jones joins forces with M8 Music Dean Jones, the Salvation Army composer has joined forces with M8 Music. Dean hopes to use M8 as an outlet for him to promote and sell his music and his first submission to M8 is an arrangement of “Sardis” by Beethoven - please see the catalogue for more details.
New Cornet Solo Available NOW! Last year at Brass in Concert, Iain Culross, then playing with The Sellers International Band, won best cornet. One of the pieces which contributed to this was, "Here's to the Heroes" by John Barry arranged by Paul Drury. This piece is now available to buy from M8 Music under the Phillip McCann series, "Voice of the Cornet".

November 2007 - M8 Launches at Brass in Concert M8 Music successfully launched at "Brass in Concert" at the Sage in Gateshead on 18th November. Paul Drury and Phillip McCann were on hand to to see the company off to a flying start. Paul's music was also featured in the 3rd placed Grimethorpe's performance conducted by Phillip.
